Sponsorship
As an all-volunteer organization, Leadership La Plata relies on the generosity of the community and its graduates to maintain a top quality program. Students do pay tuition of $650 annually, but this dollar figure does not fully cover the out-of-pocket costs of the weekend retreat, eight class sessions, leadership skills training, recruitment receptions, graduation and more.
In recent years, we have welcomed corporate/community sponsors of each “class” session. Full sponsorship is $450, with $200 for partial sponsorship. Sponsors enjoy recognition on this web site, with links to their sites, as well as promotion during the specific class sponsored and any publicity we can garner in the local press. Classes are Business, Diversity, Public Safety, Government, Education, Health and Human Services, Arts and Culture, and Environment.
Sponsors – both cash and in-kind – are also welcomed to help underwrite costs of the retreat and our receptions, as well as partial scholarships for potential LLP candidates who may not be able to afford the full $650. These sponsors are also represented on this site.
