Every week, as a service to its members and the community, the Durango Chamber of Commerce produces and distributes via email the "Business Facts". It's a great opportunity for Chamber members to announce events and specials to the entire Chamber membership on a weekly basis. For more information about our weekly Business Facts

Community Profile
The Community profile is our most significant publication. Published annually, it is distributed to thousands of people locally, nationally, and sometimes internationally as our free relocation packet. For many people, it is the first step in relocating to Durango, and therefore is their first glimpse at local businesses. Space is limited so make sure you don't miss out on this valuable advertising opportunity!

Membership Directory
The Durango Chamber of Commerce produces a complete membership directory that is distributed to all Chamber members. A hard copy of this directory is published once a year, but the complete directory is also available online and is updated weekly.

Membership Labels
The Durango Chamber of Commerce offers its Membership the possibility of purchasing a set of Avery labels ($50) with the entire membership's addresses. A CD with addresses or an emailed Excel spreadsheet are also available ($100).

Newsletter
Monthly, the Chamber newsletter offers advertising opportunities that can fit the needs of any member, with prices ranging $65 for a 1/4 page ad to $100 for a full page ad.

Trade Show
  • Table Top Expo
    Every year the Chamber of Commerce holds a Table Top Expo in conjunction with October Business After Hours. The Table Top Expo is a mini tradeshow that serves as an outlet for Chamber members to display their goods and services to the business community. The exhibitors, as well as great food and prizes, make this a highly anticipated event every year.

Brochure Display
As part of your chamber membership you are invited to display your business cards and brochures in the Durango Visitors Center in Santa Rita Park. The Visitors Center is extremely busy with more than 50,000 visitors a year, so it's a great opportunity for you to get your business noticed!

Connecting People & Networking
Here at the Durango Chamber of Commerce, we believe that communication is the key to a successful business community, so we have dedicated ourselves to serving as a catalyst for the business community to interact and communicate. Not only do we provide our membership with the resources to find the people you are looking for, but we also bridge the gap between different members of the community. As a member of the Chamber of Commerce, you can use our vast resources to help develop and expand your business by meeting new people and showcasing your business. Events such as Business After Hours, and the Table Top Expo allow both Chamber members and members of the community to discover new businesses and share ideas.

Business After Hours
The Durango Chamber of Commerce keeps its members in touch through monthly Business After Hours hosted by various businesses that showcase their goods and services.

Durango Area Diplomats
The Durango Area Diplomats are the goodwill ambassadors for the Chamber of Commerce and the Durango community as a whole. The Diplomats provide a volunteer base for the community, assist with ribbon cuttings to celebrate grand openings and other special events throughout the year.

Eggs & Issues
The Durango Chamber of Commerce frequently hosts “Eggs and Issues” breakfast meetings to discuss local, state and federal legislation, and feature current political representatives.

Leadership La Plata
Leadership La Plata is the leadership skills and broad based community education arm of the Durango Chamber of Commerce. Each year, 18 diverse, civic minded and active community members from throughout the county are selected to participate in this influential program. For more information visit

Lunch & Learn
The purpose of this program is two-fold. It is educational and offers networking opportunities to our membership, and it also provides Chamber members an opportunity to present to other Chamber members on topics of their expertise, and in doing so enhance business opportunities.

Seminars
Each year, the Durango Chamber of Commerce hosts seminars which are designed to help business owners become aware of current issues and policies that affect the business community. Individuals who are experienced in their field present the seminars.

Radio Shows 
Chamber Chats air on Mondays at 11:45am on AM 930-KIUP and Tuesday at 4:45 p.m. on FM 91.9-KDUR. 
Chamber Chat explores community issues, businesses and events as we interview various members and individuals who affect our businesses.
Currents air on Saturdays 9am. Currents is a half hour radio show.
Jack is a guest on 99 X every Wednesday afternoon in the 4pm hour.

Young Professionals of Durango (YPODS)
The Young Professionals of Durango is the newest program of the Durango Chamber of Commerce and its goal is to target young professionals (ages 21-39) in the early stages of their career and offer them professional and social connections within the community as well as a forum for them to voice their opinions.

Girls Gone Golfing
Girls Gone Golfing – Annual golf outing “for women only” featuring a golf clinic for beginners and intermediate players, a golf scramble, networking opportunities, games, prizes and more. Held in the spring at Hillcrest Golf Course. Open to Chamber Members and their guests. Call the Chamber for more details at 247.0312.

Referrals
Every year, thousands of people call the Durango Chamber of Commerce as a resource for information about Durango and its businesses. The Chamber is the first place people call when they are searching for information about visiting Durango or looking for a particular business. As a member of the Durango Chamber of Commerce, you will be referred to many potential customers. A member of the Chamber is always referred over non-members. It pays to become a Chamber member when your business is exposed and recommended to visitors and locals who call the Chamber.

 Durango Chamber of Commerce provides Tools for Business on its website, with local, state, federal and best-of-the-web resources to start and grow businesses. Tools for Business contains a business start-up kit with all the forms to comply with government requirements, links to funding resources, green business practices, business tax incentives, employer resources, online classes and more. It is also viewable in Spanish.
